B4 Lists First Biodiversity Credit: SOS Wildlife

After months of analysis and adjustments, B4, the first climate action exchange in Brazil, has listed the first sustainable asset in the CO2eq + Biodiversity category on the B4 marketplace.

The NGO SOS Vida Silvestre is the first to have its assets approved for listing on B4. The organization’s goal is to dedicate itself to environmental education focused on the preservation of the Atlantic Forest’s biodiversity and the reduction of wildlife roadkill.

The organization is committed to defending local biodiversity, which is threatened by various adversities, and developing innovative projects aimed at raising awareness and promoting environmental preservation.

How Does the Listing Process Work on B4?
Sustainability assets applied through the link https://b4.capital/pt/listagens-b4/ undergo a three-part audit to ensure a high standard of accreditation for the approved carbon credits within the ecosystem.

Every step of the procedure is recorded on the B4 Blockchain, from listing to the issuance of the CO2eq + Biodiversity NFT Certificate, available on the B4 marketplace – https://exchange.b4.capital/.

B4’s Regenerative Cycle

Through B4’s Regenerative Cycle, starting with the pillar of immutability, all data is recorded on the B4 blockchain. In the second pillar, traceability, we create the Web 3.0 Traceability Document to track the entire auditing and listing process.

In the third pillar, transparency, we create the NFT Certificate so that anyone can verify the information about the CO2eq + Biodiversity Asset listed on B4. Finally, in the inclusion pillar, we teach partners and clients connected to the ecosystem how to interpret the listing information standard.

We Niched the Sustainability Market

Companies interested in undertaking a Climate Action project at B4 will find, when accessing the Climate Action Exchange, a categorization of key Sustainability assets by niches.

To mature in the Sustainability Journey, when a company decides to embark on the regenerative cycle, the first step is to conduct a carbon footprint inventory diagnosis.

This option is available in the B4 Capital website menu under the section “Want to offset” > “Calculate your footprint”.

At B4Carbon, registration is required to initiate the process.

Once companies complete the carbon footprint inventory, they understand the positive impact of their climate action plan. Unlike investing millions of dollars in a process that could take years, they can immediately start a climate action project by adopting a biodiversity impact and environmental education project.

Aligning with your Footprint and SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) Niche, companies opting for the least effort action in the Net Zero funnel can offset their footprint.

Climate Action Project B4 – 3. Develop the Action Plan

NFT – Climate Action Certificate

When a company exchanges Assets for Carbon Credits on the B4 Marketplace, a Climate Action NFT Certificate is automatically generated. This certificate contains information about the compensated tons, company name, Blockchain address, period, and details of the selected carbon credit.
Once the compensation is completed, the company can begin advertising the first step of its Climate Action project.

Giving the first step to a Climate Action Project

Many companies, even after offsetting their emissions, have doubts about how to take the first step.
Often, their niche or industry presents few actions with immediate real impact, as it would be necessary to develop new technology from scratch to truly start the journey to Net Zero.

Therefore, in the Net Zero Funnel, we concentrate the greatest effort on committing the company and initiating a real change in its ecosystem.

However, there are ways to take the first step and have a real impact, where offsetting can be combined with a regenerative project.

Join partners of Impact like Acqua.Tís

Acqua.Tís, a regenerative impact startup (https://acquatis.com), has created an innovative way to publicize Climate Action projects and is a partner of B4.
Once companies offset their emissions, they can take the first step by creating a communication project. This will educate their clients, consumers, suppliers, and shareholders, while activating a real impact.
Through Tetra Pak bottles and aluminum cans, Acqua.Tís creates campaigns with real impact, distributing them for free in selected regions and also developing digital impact campaigns to further expand the reach of messages (https://www.instagram.com/reel/C8S5io2u8Xj/).

Additionally, Acqua.Tís donates a portion of the funds raised in campaigns to purchase filters and distribute water through the NGO Water Is Life (https://www.waterislife.com/).
