Participants now have until <strong>December 31, 2024<\/strong>, to submit their work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sustainability at the Center of Global Discussions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The current global context reinforces the importance of framing and expanding discussions around <strong>sustainability<\/strong> and <strong>environmental governance<\/strong>. Three recent milestones highlight the complexity of this moment:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Advances and Setbacks at COP29<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Held this year, COP29 achieved significant progress in global carbon credit regulations but also revealed concerning setbacks in the reliance on fossil fuels. This duality underscores the need for critical and informative perspectives on sustainability pathways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Climate Change Highlighted at the G20 in Brazil<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By hosting the G20, Brazil placed climate change at the forefront of the global agenda, reaffirming the urgency of coordinated action among major economies to mitigate environmental impacts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Carbon Credit Regulation in Brazil<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the national level, Brazil\u2019s Senate has approved a bill regulating the carbon credit market, marking a milestone for the country\u2019s sustainable development. Currently under review by the Chamber of Deputies, this initiative has the potential to transform Brazil\u2019s green economy, requiring widespread understanding and coverage by society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>New Registration Deadline<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Given this highly relevant context, we understand that discussions on sustainability are still unfolding. Therefore, B4 has decided to extend the registration deadline, allowing communicators to incorporate these new global and national developments into their work, while also ensuring no disruption to submissions already made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new deadline for submissions is <strong>December 31, 2024<\/strong>. Only original content is eligible, not reproductions of work published on other platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3. <strong>B4 Sustainable Communication Award \u2013 Audio<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Best report aired on radio stations in Brazil or podcasts streamed in Portuguese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">4. <strong>B4 Sustainable Communication Award \u2013 Video<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Best content aired on TV channels or journalism-focused videos published on digital platforms in Portuguese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5. <strong>B4 Sustainable Communication Award \u2013 Photojournalism<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Best photo or photo sequence published in print media or on the websites of Brazilian journalistic companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">6. <strong>B4 Sustainable Communication Award \u2013 University<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Best journalism content (in text, audio, video, or photo) developed by university students during their journalism studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">7. <strong>B4 Sustainable Communication Award \u2013 Influencers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Best digital content creator who effectively promoted sustainability, social responsibility, or environmental governance on platforms like Instagram, YouTube, or TikTok.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">8. <strong>B4 Sustainable Communication Award \u2013 Advertising<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Best ad campaign promoting sustainability, environmental governance, and\/or social responsibility creatively and effectively.
